His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah says that slaughtering sacrificial animals, whether obligatory or commendable, is a very meaningful proof of loyalty and Allah will not disregard it. His Majesty emphasises the matter in the titah in conjunction with Hari Raya 'Idil Adha for 1447 Hijrah, 2026 broadcast nationwide. 'Idil Adha, His Majesty says is the most prominent Islamic syi'ar, as it refers to the great event of a father and son fulfilling Allah's commandment, even though the command is too difficult to be carried out.​
